Project:   Small Craft Harbor Facility, Gulfport, MS

Owner:     City of Gulfport

Architect:Guild Jaubert & Hardy

Contract Amount: $700,000

Concrete pilings formed the primary structural element for the second and third floors of the Small Craft Harbor facility in Gulfport, Mississippi. These pilings created the corners and dictated the placement of the 70’ members, which had to be plumb and precisely located to ensure proper completion of the structure.

The Harbor Facility was built completely over water and housed the Harbormaster’s office and the Harbor Security Office. The building also included shower facilities for boat owners and visitors who arrived on ships at the adjacent commercial freighter port.
